Plants are timeless & don't go out of fashion. However! There are new species popping up that really give you the garden to envy. Use our below categories to see what's featuring
in our Queensland gardens this coming Summer season.
MEXICAN FENCE POST CACTUS
Mexican fence post cactus (Pachycereus marginatus) can grow up to 4m-5m in height & around 8cm-20cm in diameter. This showy columnar cactus has upright growth that is actually used as a living fence in Mexico and other regions where it grows well.
TIP - Plant it near a brightly coloUred wall for a dramatic effect or in pots with native flowers.
CURVE LEAF YUCCA
Curve Leaf Yucca (Yucca gloriosa var. tristis) are related to the Agave family & are really low maintenance, as long as their soil can drain.
They can be used in both a desert & a tropical landscape, and they compliment every garden.
TIP - Yucca's can be lopped & replanted when they start to get too tall.
